I know really we are heading out of autumn and towards winter but today the weather is glorious. The early sunshine, which came after an even earlier mist, is catching the leaves that remain on the oaks and everywhere is bathed in golden light. As usual I gaze at our fabulous view with a sense of disbelief that we actually live here and this isn't just some brief weekend away. We are so lucky to have this special place.
