Now my dahlias are over I have had to be more creative in finding flowers to arrange for the house. Even this late in the year I have little heartsease pansies, marigolds, a self seeded borage and roses (just). For foliage my beetroot is throwing up healthy leaves at the moment, obviously liking the moister soil. I've put everything in a little jug to keep by me in the kitchen. It's very drab and dreary outside so they brighten things up.
