It's hard to remember that this time last year we had the floors dug out, piles of earth in front of the house and skips full of rubbish. Although we still have to do work to the outside the place is already so much nicer. People say how good it is to see our lights on as they drive past. The elderly lady who used to live here spent her life in the kitchen so it was always dark from the road.
