Winterbourne House turns out to be a lovely place to spend the day. The weather is ideal, cold and crisp, except in the heated greenhouses where I have to wait for my glasses to acclimatise before I can see anything. The journey by train from here is very straightforward as it's a direct line from Burton to Birmingham University.
