Dave surveying his newly contoured mound! After digging out a huge number of bricks (as usual) and clearing loads of weeds the area by the front gate looks much smarter and importantly the stone gateposts are visible. Now the only decision remaining is whether to leave it as grass or plant it - in which case I think I'll be considering a tough ground cover rose. I've preserved his modesty in this photo but the effort of the task has left Dave's shirt ripped from top to bottom in an homage to the incredible hunk!
