After weeks of no rain today's heavy downpours have left the garden refreshed (if a little battered). At least my forget me nots and euphorbia are pretty resilient.Hilaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16153214145850141181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945721075060179949.post-4865905441981341452019-04-24T18:05:00.000+01:002019-04-24T18:05:53.762+01:00Storms and sunshine<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

In March we travelled down to Gloucester to watch the Severn Bore, something I'd always been intrigued by. We are currently taking some time off from the B&B to do all the things we fancy! In February we travelled to Malaga for a few days and went to see where the fabulous Ave Maria Seville oranges grow. We've had some very misty starts this week with still mild air. I love watching the way the mist tumbles down the Big Field, it moves fast and can form and be gone in minutes.Hilaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16153214145850141181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945721075060179949.post-56771126460297014522018-10-10T11:30:00.000+01:002018-10-11T07:44:16.086+01:00Walking<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

With snow until March and the summer drought it's been a really difficult year for livestock farmers. This means that the fine sunny weather forecast for this week provides the chance to cut a late crop of grass from our fields. It will help feed neighbouring cows through the winter.Hilaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16153214145850141181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945721075060179949.post-24442100212600556922018-10-08T07:44:00.000+01:002018-10-11T07:47:42.597+01:00The grass is always greener<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Woke to fine rain which has been falling most of the night. Again this morning I can hear geese flying over the farmhouse calling to eachother, I wonder where they go on their daily journeys. Little birds chatter in the hedge and the sheep have spread themselves out to enjoy the lush, damp grass.Hilaryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16153214145850141181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945721075060179949.post-46999547034535030672018-10-04T16:31:00.000+01:002018-10-04T16:31:57.058+01:00Glorious colours<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
