It's time to get started on my Christmas cooking and I make, and then after 24 hours, bottle my mincemeat. It's fantastic to have the pantry to store it in. I also make our first batch of mince pies, but as mine still needs to mature I use shop mincemeat with added nuts and apple. My old recipe book is getting a little tatty now but it's done around 40 years of service!
