Jam making

I have managed to fit in the odd domestic task between looking at the hares! Today I picked the first batch of blackcurrants (4lb gathered before 9am) to make jam (I managed 11 pots in a mixture of medium and small sizes). It takes quite a while of simmering (45 minutes) to soften the fruit. Sadly despite netting the blackbirds took all our redcurrants.
