This morning I was washing lots of glass jars and all the while I was working at the sink the swallows were sweeping past the window, flying across the garden. So many landed on the electricity wires that an overflow queue formed on the telephone line. For some reason this must be hard to balance on, or maybe they were just the baby swallows who were not so expert yet. After about an hour of frantic activity they all flew off again.

A gathering of swallows
This morning I was washing lots of glass jars and all the while I was working at the sink the swallows were sweeping past the window, flying across the garden.
