With storm weather forecast the team pitched up at 8pm to try and get the hay in before the rain arrived. Unfortunately a shower yesterday had made it hard to bale but eventually the job was done (with a bit of re-baling needed where a couple had split). Loading was a perilous operation (by now it was after 10 and they'd been hay making all day). It was good to see the load head off carefully down the lane. Later, at around 2.30 the storm struck with amazing sheet lightening which was quite extraordinary (Dave slept through it all!)
