Somersal Herbert

I was able to look through a wonderful book at the Church tea party. It contains a collection of peoples reminiscences about living here in Somersal Herbert. I love this photo which I've seen before online, it's a postcard dating from 1908 and is taken at the bottom of our hill. We are to the left of where the girl is standing. Although the roads are now tarmac-ed the grass triangles still remain.

It has inspired me to try and piece together what people know of those who lived at Hill Farm in the past.
