Time for a day off and we went with neighbours to see the glorious gardens at Felley Priory. Unfortunately they had been badly affected by the recent frosts but despite this the planting remains wonderful. The plum coloured tulips I photographed here looked fabulous alongside dark magnolias, there are so many interesting and unusual plants all beautifully displayed ... a place to admire the real skill of gardening and I returned home vowing to be more ruthless when it comes to my own pruning and weeding!
