Last night I went to sleep with the bedroom window open and got a rude awakening from Mr Pheasant who decided to call incessantly just before 6am. I got up and took my tea outside enjoying the morning air but despite my shushing he continued to preen and call (sadly for him there was only me around to be impressed - or not - by his efforts!)
