Unfortunately after a lot of really strong gales this winter the poor cart shed has taken a battering. The wind seems to have pushed the whole structure (it also snapped the wood on the dairy extension). The problem with this building is that the roof is obviously far too heavy for the poles supporting it and some of them have sunk into the ground creating a very wavy ridge line. We aren't really sure what to do next. I love the building and wish it was in a better state as our original plan had been to carry out repairs but now I doubt this is possible. Someone has painted 1956 on the inside of the roof - a good year!
