Afternoon tea

I am really excited to have friends come to visit us today who we haven't seen for years because they live in California. Rosemary and Greg have been following our progress via the blog and now they, along with Rosemary's mother get the chance to check it out in person! I decided that an English Afternoon Tea would be appropriate and we had a wonderful, but all too brief time together.

A selection of sandwiches: 

smoked salmon, ham and egg mayonnaise with cress

Scones, jam, cream and local strawberries

Lemon sponge and chocolate cake
