This poor bird was standing in the lee of the barn trying to shelter from the appalling and unseasonal weather which so far shows no sign of abating. I think he'd have been better off actually in the barn (it's open on two sides) but he must have found a degree of protection where he was as he stayed there without moving for at least 20 minutes.
